Our Story

Long before smartphones became an everyday essential, we were already in the thick of mobile retail. Back in the 1990s, we opened our first phone shops trading as Straight Talk (Communications) Ltd — a name built on exactly what it sounds like: honest advice, fair prices, and genuine expertise. No jargon, no hard sell — just straight talk.

As the industry grew, so did we. We became an authorised licensee for Eircom / eir — one of Ireland's leading telecoms providers — giving our customers access to the best networks alongside our own trusted product range. We understood mobile from every angle: the networks, the handsets, the accessories, and most importantly, the people using them.

When retail moved online, we moved with it. We launched Smartphone Steve, our first e-commerce venture — an early sign of where the industry was heading and proof that we were never afraid to adapt. That experience shaped everything about how we run TekniqlyMobile today.
