I opened my first phone shop on Wicklow high street under a name that said exactly how I wanted to do business: honest advice, fair prices and no hard sell. Just straight talk.
EIRCOM / EIR YEARS
Independent retailer to authorised eir licensee
I grew an independent mobile business from one store to five in under ten years, scaled back through the 2008 crash, then rebuilt as an authorised eircom (now eir) licensee in Gorey (2011) and Wicklow (2012), before a planned exit in 2017. Twenty years behind the counter taught me mobile from every angle: the networks, the handsets, the accessories and, most of all, the people using them.

When shopping moved online, so did I. Smartphone Steve was my first online shop and proof that I was never afraid to adapt. That experience shapes how TekniqlyMobile runs today.
